Banyard Construction were pleased to gain the full instruction to undertake the new build construction of a SEN block at Upton Infant School. The project was secured firstly on a competitive tender basis, where it was established the scheme was unfortunately over budget. We were then instructed to work with the Employers Agent to value engineer the scheme down to a suitable budget, which was successfully achieved.
The works involved a fully piled foundation system, with a timber frame structure above, including both pitched and flat roofs. We worked in conjunction with the Employers Agent and Client to ensure specialist equipment, to meet the children’s specific learning needs, were accounted for during the build.
Banyard Construction utilized its directly employed tradesmen, alongside our network of specialist sub-contractors and suppliers to achieve the clients brief, of a modern learning environment, accommodating the specialized equipment to meet the children’s specific learning needs on a limited budget.
We were pleased to secure further works on other schools in the area with the same educational trust, following the successful completion of this project.
