This contract was secured following negotiation with the client following a recommendation from one of our long standing London clients.
We provided a full service from concept planning through the design stages managing sensitive negotiations to comply with both listed building and conservation area officer requirements in this picturesque location in Dorset delivering building regulation drawings and a project that fulfilled the client’s requirements and desires.
The works involved a complete strip out of the property including taking down and rebuilding a large section of the external stone walling to the front elevation and restoration of the existing roof timbers and coverings.
Sensitive restoration of the internal accommodation was completed whilst updating the existing fabric to comply with current building regulation standards. A beautiful hand painted kitchen with granite worktops was installed in the rear section of the property which is framed by a full height vaulted ceiling to the rafters.
A long dry stone wall was constructed to the rear garden together with the construction of an office garden building providing additional outside covered space.
The restoration project was featured in a pictorial spread in a well-known homes magazine.
