We were approached by the owner of this popular public house in Lytchett Matravers to provide letting accommodation above the existing footprint to extend their existing business.
The new floor area provision involved the stripping back of the existing single storey roof coverings over the bar area, adapting the existing roof structure and providing new first floor joists off a steel frame with supporting posts within the bar and dining room.
The fully insulated timber frame external walls were pitched off the existing brickwork and finished with coloured composite cladding. All construction works were carried out under a full covered scaffold canopy to allow the public house to remain open for business throughout.
The new accommodation provides four double rooms all with ensuite accessed from a communal lobby area and external staircase
The project took approximately 20 weeks from start to finish and was completed on budget in July 2019.
